Nominet CEO Lesley Cowley visits the base

Nominet – the Oxford-based company which controls the UK registration of internet domain names – has chosen the Oxford Food Bank as its charity partner for the next two years. It means that all the money the company raises through its regular charity fund-raising events will be given to the Food Bank.

To mark the new relationship Lesley Cowley, Nominet’s CEO, visited the Oxford Food Bank depot on 28th November to be shown round and meet some of the volunteers who run and manage the food bank operation. She is shown above with Food Bank Trustees David Cairns, Robin Aitken and David Kay.

Fundraising activities are already well under way courtesy of a hard working team of charity supporters within Nominet and this will continue throughout the next two years along with visits to the base by other Nominet staff, some of whom will also be joining us on delivery runs to find out more about Food Bank activities.

We are very appreciative of this generous support from Nominet and look forward to a fruitful (and vegful) relationship over the coming months!
